What to eat in Sacred Valley?
In Sacred Valley there is no better place to have lunch than outdoors, enjoying the beautiful landscapes. Most of the restaurants have cozy atmospheres, decorated with Inca motifs. Traditional food in Sacred Valley:
- Chiri Uchu. Dish usually eaten at the Inty Raymi festival. It is a combination of chicken meat, guinea pig, jerky, chorizo, fish eggs, which is served with corn tortillas, cancha serrana, cheese, rocoto chili and huacatay creams.
- Sara Lawa (corn soup). Thick corn soup blended with huacatay leaves and mirasol pepper, with potato pieces, fresh cheese and beaten egg added at the end of the preparation. 
- Olluquito con charqui. Olluco stew with charqui (dry llama or alpaca meat) and seasoned with chopped onion and tomato, ground panca chili and mirasol chili, garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Cilantro or parsley to decorate.
- Quinoa soup. Thick quinoa soup, with carrot and yellow pumpkin in pieces, seasoned with onion and minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste. You can also add milk cream at the end of the preparation.
- Puchero. Meat soup (osobuco cut), sliced ​​corn, diced carrot, yellow pumpkin and angel hair noodles, seasoned with chopped onion, tomato and garlic. It is served with sprigs of parsley as decoration.
