Overview

Galapagos is also a land of coffee, in this tour you will learn a lot about the cultivation and the process of coffee production in this area.

Manuel Julián Cobos was the first settler of San Cristobal and the person who brought coffee to these islands. On this tour your guide will explain in detail about how this seed had to adapt to the climate of the islands in order to develop and become unique among crops in the continental area whose climate is much more conducive to its cultivation and subsequent harvesting and processing. In addition to coffee, during the tour you will also see other seasonal fruit crops that become liquors, jams and other processed products that you can taste and buy.

The main coffee growing season on the island is from January to April and from September to December.
