This cooking class is very interactive, it allows you to intervene in the process of buying the ingredients and the preparation of the most traditional dishes of Ecuador.
The tour begins in a well-known restaurant in the city where the Chief Chef will welcome and give you some details about traditional Ecuadorian food and then you will go together with the chef to a local market to explain about the ingredients and other products that are used in the Ecuadorian cuisine, there you can take some photos and buy some endemic fruit to try in your hotel room.
Once you are back in the restaurant that is located in an old house with more than 200 years of history, you will prepare 3 delicious dishes very well uniformed with your apron and your chef's hat. The starter will be a "Locro Quiteño" or a shrimp ceviche, the main dish will be a delicious "Encocado" that is prepared with fish or chicken in coconut sauce, and for dessert a chocolate "soup" with seasonal fruits. For the preparation of these dishes you will use basic ingredients that you can easily find around the world, so that you can repeat the experience in your own home with your family.
During the class, the Chef will accompany and guide you while he explains the history of each dish you prepare. At the end you will be an expert chef and you will have lunch the dishes you prepared, so, do your best to make them very tasty.
