The overflight of the Nazca Lines leaving from Pisco will take you through the areas inhabited by the ancient settlers of the Nazca and Paracas culture, you will be able to see desert and nearby valleys from above.
The mysterious Nazca geoglyphs (Nazca Lines) have astonished locals and strangers wondering how the ancient settlers were able to make these drawings on a large scale. On the tour you will be able to see zoomorphic designs (the spider, the monkey, the hummingbird), phytomorphic (the tree) and anthropomorphic (the astronaut, the hands) among others that extend over an area of almost 450 square kilometers (280 square miles).
This overflight tour departs from the Pisco airport and takes you right over the Nazca lines, which you wouldn't be able to see if you are on the ground. The geoglyphs are so large that cover an area of about 450 square kilometers (174 square miles).
The tour lasts an hour and a half and besides desert areas you will also fly over green valleys such as the valley of Santa Cruz, Palpa, Viscas, Ingenio and Ocucaje, this last being a place where marine fossils were found, that discovery indicates that these deserts and valleys were once covered with sea.
The overflight will be in charge of expert pilots who will direct the plane just over the Nazca Lines so that you do not miss seeing any.
