Overview

San Cristobal Island is famous for its giant tortoises of the species Geochelone chathamensis, an endemic specimen of this island, there you can visit the Giant Tortoise Reserve where you will see the work and effort made by experts to prevent the extinction of these animals that can live longer 100 years. 

This hiking tour takes you to the Cone of Media Luna in a hike of at least 3 and a half hours round trip. On the way, before reaching the Turtle Reserve you will see some of these turtles in their natural habitat as well as some reptiles such as geckos, lava lizard or birds such as the mockingbird among the abundant vegetation of the high areas, highlighting the palo santo tres, matazarno, milkweed and their little flowers that delight the eye and some species of grasses moving to the rhythm of the wind.
