Travel the ancient path that the Incas made to get to Machu Picchu in this 4-day and 3-night tour and experience the different archaeological sites that you will find on the way.
The day before your tour you will meet with the guide for a breafing about the walk and if you have any questions you can solve them together with the guide.
The day that the Inca trail begins, the guide picks you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Chilca area in the Sacred Valley where you will be at an altitude of 2700 meters (8860 feet). Once you are in that place you will meet with the group and the support staff of the walk (cooks and carriers).
Day 1
The walk begins heading towards Huayllabamba where you will see the ruins of Patallacta and you will marvel at the views of green mountains and abundant vegetation in this part of the country.
Day 2
It begins with a restorative breakfast to regain strength and then continues the walk, this time reaching the height of 4200 meters (13,860 feet), quite a challenge, right in the place where a mummy was found called the Dead Woman's Pass. Being at such a height, you will definitely have stunning views of the surrounding places.
After taking some time for lunch, you will continue your walk descending through the valley of the Pacaymayo river that will serve as a setting to spend the night camping.
Day 3
Another day waits for you and starts very early as always with breakfast, then the walk continues to the ruins and archaeological complexes of Runku Rakay which is at an altitude of 3800 meters (12 540 feet) and will continue to Sayacmarca where you will have a rest for lunch and then continue walking towards the agricultural and ceremonial site of Wiñay Wayna.
Day 4
On the last day of the Inca trail, after breakfast, the walk will take you to Inti Punku (Sun´s Gate). From there the walk down is 10 minutes and while you go down the view of the Sacred City of Machu Picchu is impressive. Once there you will explore Machu Picchu on a guided tour and then go down to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus and finally take the train for your return to Cusco.
