Overview

In this tour of sighting of the majestic Andean Condor you will pass through beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian highlands with its rivers and valleys as well as some little visited historical vestiges.

The Valley of the Incas has a lot to offer its visitors. Leaving Cusco on the way to the viewpoint, you will stop first at Quillarumiyoc (Mama Quilla), a temple of worship to the Moon, one of the main Inca deities, a goddess of the sky that influenced the growth of plants and the fertilization of the goddess Earth (Pacha Mama), here you can see stone walls not very high and a stone carved with a semi-circular figure that was used as an altar.

After passing through the ruins of Quillarumiyoc you will continue to Limatambo where you will stop for lunch, after lunch you will continue along a winding road until you reach the town of Chonta, here you will go up to the viewpoint that is in the Apurímac river canyon from where you can see the majestic Andean Condor flying over the mountains with its extensive wings spread. The Incas believed that this animal was immortal and was a representative of the upper world (of heaven).

Later you will return along the same path, returning to Chonta to start the way back to Cusco.
