Costa Rica is known as a paradise for the sighting of exotic birds, for them it is very visited by ornithologists and bird lovers due to the more than 800 species of endemic and migratory birds that this beautiful country houses.
The activity begins with the pick-up from your hotel in Monteverde to transfer you to the park where there are currently more species to see. During the activity you will be accompanied by a specialized guide who will make a list along the way with details of the birds that you see and hear during the tour and then send it to you.
As some birds are hidden among the the branches of the trees it can be a bit difficult to spot them, so you should bring your binoculars.
All the walk can last between 3 to 4 hours depending on the pace and interest of the visitor. The visit includes a brunch and a cold drink, at this stop you will have access to take photos of the birds that approach the fruit feeders that were set up for the birds to come to feed.
For the second part of the tour we will visit the San Luis farm in the valley that bears the same name, at about 20 minutes from the place where we will have the brunch.
At the San Luis farm it is very common to see birds of prey, including the Penachuda Eagle Spizaetus ornatus that usually nests in this area of humid tropical climates.
The tour ends with a well-deserved coffee and traditional Costa Rican empanada to complete your day of naturalistic adventure.
