The Atacama salt flat brings with it a series of surprises in landscapes such as the Chaxa lagoon, the Miscanti lagoon and the Miñiques lagoon, as well as the birds and wildlife that you will see around the lagoons.
From early on, we will leave from San Pedro towards the south passing through the town of Toconao where you will know the Church of San Lucas and the old fruit orchards that characterize this town, until we reach the Atacama Salt Flat, known as the third largest in the world and important for having one of the largest lithium reserves in the world.
Upon reaching the salt flat, we will visit the Chaxa lagoon, important for tourism as it is a nesting place and habitat for the three species of flamingos that inhabit Chile: the Andean flamingo, the Chilean flamingo and the James flamingo. Then we will visit the Miscanti lagoon and the Miñiques lagoon, which are also characterized by the sighting of other birds that nest there.
On our way back we will pass through the town of Socaire where you will see the cultivation terraces that have been there since pre-Hispanic times.
