To get from the city of Urubamba to Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness you must travel an approximate 8 km (5.28 miles) through impressive landscapes that include the Vilcanota River.

The residents of Urubamba are very warm people like their city. From Urubamba the view of the valley is impressive since you can appreciate from there the snow-capped mountains that are part of the Andes mountain range, so planning your activities to explore the Sacred Valley is very easy being in the city of Urubamba as it is located in the center of the valley.

From Urubamba you have many options to explore the area such as hiking, horseback riding or ATVs, mountain biking, zip-lining, rafting, among other adventure activities or if you prefer to learn something cultural and historical you can visit the circular platforms of Moray and the salt mines of Maras that still provide work and economic sustenance to the inhabitants of that area.

The Aranwa Sacred Valley hotel is built on the lands of an old 17th century hacienda corresponding to the colonial era that is after the Incas. Its facilities are luxurious and it is on the banks of the Vilcanota river which gives the hotel an atmosphere of peace and incredible relaxation for the guests’ satisfaction.

All them are beautifully decorated even with details of the three regions of Peru (coast, mountains and jungle) but mainly with motifs typical of the Cusco colonial era that by the 17th century was still merging with the Inca due to the recent colonization.
