Overview

On this tour you will discover the beauty of the Ecuadorian Andes, the flora and fauna of the Cotopaxi National Park, the impressive Cotopaxi volcano and you will visit the Colonial Hacienda of San Agustín de Callo built on the foundations and walls of an ancient Ecuadorian Inca palace.

You will make a trip down the “Avenue of the Volcanoes” so called because it is flanked by more than 70 volcanoes in less than 300 kilometers (186 miles) of travel. With good luck, during the tour you would see the majestic Andean condor considered the largest flying bird in the world.

There will be a stop for lunch and then you will visit the famous Colonial Hacienda of San Agustín de Callo where you can appreciate the contrast of the construction that was raised using the foundations and walls of an ancient Inca temple originally built in the 15th century around 1440 by the Inca Huayna Cápac, one of the last Incas of the vast Inca empire that once encompassed the countries of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, northwestern Argentina and northern Chile.
